Job Description

This role offers the chance to work on a jobsite in Charlottesville, VA Following the completion of this project, you may have the opportunity to move to Lynchburg, VA to work at multiple job sites. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5:30pm, and Friday 7am to 3:30pm though hours can vary.

Responsibilities

+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial settings.

+ Lead and guide apprentices, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.

+ Read and interpret blueprint drawings to execute project plans accurately.

+ Work with multiple sizes of conduit and perform conduit bending.

+ Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.

+ Conduct circuit testing and troubleshooting to ensure system safety and compatibility.

+ Utilize hand and power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ 2-4 years of commercial construction electrical experience.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.

+ Familiarity with complex commercial electrical systems, including three-phase power systems.

+ Ability to follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other regulations.

+ Skilled in using testing devices for circuit testing and troubleshooting.

+ Experience with hand and power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.

+ Ability to work effectively with project managers, lead electricians, and other trades.

+ Attention to detail to ensure precision in installations and repairs.

+ Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.

+ Clear communication skills for coordinating with clients or supervisors.

+ Adaptability to work in varied environments and handle disruptions professionally.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
