    Job Title: Line Operator | Rock Island, IL | $17.50/hr

    Job Description

    Join an innovative team as a Line Operator on the Line 1 Operating Team. This role involves rotating through four positions during an 8-hour shift, contributing to the production process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include handling various stages of blade processing, from placing blades on conveyor lines to quality inspection.

    Responsibilities

    + Place blades on conveyor lines for processing through ovens or furnaces.

    + Use hand tools or grabbers to transfer blades from the furnace to the press.

    + Remove blades from the press and place them in a quench for cooling.

    + Hang blades on the line for painting and conduct quality inspections after painting.

    + Ensure smooth operation and quality standards throughout the production line.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in general labor, production, and manufacturing.

    + Strong critical thinking and teamwork abilities.

    + Proficiency in measuring and attention to detail.

    + Skilled in assembly, assembly line, and machine operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and rotate among stations.

    + Capability to lift 40-50 lbs.

    + Keen attention to detail for detecting quality defects.

    + Willingness to work in warm conditions near furnaces.

    + Training provided for operating rhythm as part of team processes.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean and highly organized environment, featuring a production line alongside welding, shipping/receiving, and engineering departments. Be prepared for occasional heat at stations near furnaces. Shifts available include 1st shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 6:00am). Orientation begins at 6 AM with a comprehensive introduction to the company and processes.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
