Trailer Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking skilled technicians with experience in trailer repair to join our team. Candidates will be responsible for repairing semi-truck tankers and trailers, utilizing their expertise in fabrication, welding, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
+ Repair semi-truck tankers and trailers.
+ Perform welding tasks using GMAW and GTAW techniques on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
+ Conduct fabrication tasks as needed in a repair shop setting.
+ Repair and maintain trailer electrical systems.
+ Perform engine and hydraulic repairs.
+ Diagnose and repair failures in mechanical, electrical, and other systems on trailers.
+ Inspect tanks and trailers to ensure compliance with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
+ Service and repair air brake systems.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in trailer repair, including brakes, electrical systems, refrigeration, and lighting.
+ Proficient in TIG and MIG welding, with the opportunity for on-the-job certification.
+ Mechanical skills with a focus on diesel engines and trailers/tankers.
+ Knowledge of air brake systems and repairs.
+ Ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical failures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
+ Pride in work and a desire to learn and improve.
+ Ability to effectively use a variety of tools, including hammers, wrenches, and power tools.
+ Experience in tank service and repair.

Work Environment
Work in an indoor facility with large garage bays, focusing on trailer repair. The environment is not climate-controlled, and it requires the use of a basic set of tools. Enjoy a collaborative work atmosphere where uniforms are provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
