Immigration law firm has is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant t to join our team in San Jose, California. In this Legal Assistant role, you will play a crucial part in supporting attorneys and foreign nationals through the immigration application process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment while honing your organizational and analytical skills. You must be able to work on-site in San Jose, CA Monday - Friday during standard business hours. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree OR have 1-2+ years of legal or administrative experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit immigration applications with precision and attention to detail.

• Communicate effectively with foreign nationals to gather necessary documentation and provide updates.

• Assist attorneys by managing case files and ensuring accurate data entry.

• Organize and maintain filing systems to ensure easy access to critical information.

• Handle administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations within the legal team.

• Monitor application deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

• Maintain compliance with regulations and legal standards throughout the application process.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and optimize efficiency.

Requirements

+ Bachelors degree OR 1-2+ years of legal or administrative experience is required.

+ Must be willing to work on-site; remote work is not an option for this opportunity.

+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
