Job Title: Inventory Associate - Sheet Metal Mover

Job Description

Support the Inventory department by managing basic materials-related functions, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

+ Receive incoming materials from external and internal suppliers.

+ Identify and stock materials with the correct part number according to established procedures.

+ Issue materials to production work centers and fill out paperwork accordingly.

+ Process basic inventory transactions on the computer.

+ Perform cycle counts for the assigned area of responsibility.

+ Expedite parts to prevent production delays.

+ Maintain forklift maintenance and upkeep.

+ Ensure cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and production lines.

+ Properly identify all products assigned for packing and perform packing procedures with high regard for part protection.

+ Ensure parts arrive undamaged by understanding shipments and shipping methods.

+ Manage paperwork for assigned tasks, verifying parts orders against pick tickets and confirming shipments within the ERP system.

+ Meet specific deadlines for overnight shipments.

+ Use freight company computers to process orders and print manifest reports.

+ Complete carrier BOL and other required documents.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in receiving, cycle counts, forklift operations, warehouse management, and material handling.

+ Knowledge of inventory control methods such as cycle counting, FIFO, and location audits.

+ Previous forklift experience with the ability to pass a forklift certification test.

+ Two to three years of inventory control experience.

+ Basic knowledge of ERP systems and BOL documentation.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is generally loud, with heavy pedestrian and industrial vehicle traffic.

This is a Contract position based out of Oxnard, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
