Now Hiring: Quality Technician
Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will perform technical tasks related to quality control and assurance operations. Your role will involve inspection, testing, and documentation to ensure product quality. You will spend approximately four hours a day conducting inspections under a microscope and will be responsible for mechanical and dimensional inspections. While blueprint reading is preferred, it is not required. Good computer skills, especially in Excel, are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
+ Perform complex functional tests and inspections following established procedures and work instructions.
+ Read and interpret specifications and/or blueprints and mechanical drawings. Create and/or revise procedures to document and standardize when necessary.
+ Compile quality data using appropriate tools, including SPC charting methodology.
+ Evaluate quality issues identified by test and inspection results and report findings appropriately.
+ Review and disposition product defects identified through testing and inspection processes.
+ Ensure documentation completeness and compliance with specifications.
+ Solve routine problems with standard solutions.
+ Maintain test machines and test fixtures.
+ Process shipping documentation and prepare necessary documents for shipment.
Essential Skills
+ Two years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.
+ High school diploma or equivalent, OR an AA or AS degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent technical knowledge gained through experience.
+ Proficiency in using a microscope for extended periods.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
+ Experience with micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring tools.
+ Strong computer skills, particularly with word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
+ Organizational skills to collect and transform data into meaningful information.
+ Basic arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculation skills.
+ Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English.

+ Ability to perform visual inspections.
+ Physical ability to meet job requirements such as standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and handling small parts or tools.

Work Environment
This position involves working in a cleanroom environment with appropriate attire. You will use various technologies and equipment, including microscopes and measuring tools. The role requires both standing and sitting for extended periods, as well as physical movement around the plant.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
