    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    The Production Operator is responsible for the daily functions associated with the Production Operation in their assigned area. The role requires a team-oriented approach and open communication with all departments to improve efficiency and eliminate problems. The operator will be involved in operating the mill and running a forklift and telehandler, with basic mill knowledge being taught in-house.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the mill and handle machinery.

    + Run a forklift and telehandler.

    + Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area.

    + Stand for long periods (up to 8+ hours per day).

    + Lift heavy items frequently (50–75 lbs).

    + Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and general labor.

    + Machine operating skills.

    + Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.

    + Good attendance and work history.

    + Good organizational skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Forklift and machine operation experience.

    + Experience using hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical knowledge (preferred).

    + Computer skills (preferred).

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is industrial and hands-on, involving physical labor and machinery operation. Shifts are available from 1st shift (7am-3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am), with the option to work overtime from 40-60 hours and weekends. The dress code is appropriate for an industrial setting. Employees work in small teams of about 7, within a close-knit environment with approximately 45 employees at the location, fostering close working relationships.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Falls, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
