    Job Title: Repair Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Repair Technician, where you will perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers. You will manage the warehouse and material movement, patch holes on cargo containers, and perform deriveting and riveting tasks. Your role will ensure that containers are delivered clean and free from defects, and you will respond to technical assistance requests from customers in the area. Additionally, you will provide training and demonstrations of the FAA-approved Active Systems and document all work using our systems. Monitoring stock of spare parts and maintaining the repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition are also key aspects of this position.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of temperature-controlled containers.

    + Manage warehouse and material movement.

    + Patch holes and perform deriveting and riveting on cargo containers.

    + Deliver containers clean and free from defects affecting operation or performance.

    + Respond to technical assistance requests from customers.

    + Provide training and demonstrations of Active Systems.

    + Document all work performed using CATS and CSafe WO system.

    + Monitor stock of spare parts.

    + Pick up and drop off RKNs from/to customers.

    + Maintain repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Assembly or repair experience.

    + Structural repair, aviation, sheet metal, HVAC, electrical knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + More than just assembly line mechanical experience.

    + Basic electrical knowledge.

    + HVAC or construction experience.

    + Connection to aviation industry.

    + Part 145 experience is a plus.

    + Prior military experience.

    + At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.

    Work Environment

     

    The repair facility is located at ORD and is not temperature-controlled but remains comfortable. The warehouse is very clean and operates on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As a provider of cold chain shipping solutions, the company serves airlines, freight forwarders, and life sciences companies.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
