    Job Title: Equipment Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Skilled Laborer and an Equipment Operator to join our team. The role involves assisting and/or operating a range of equipment including a front-end loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat, and skid steer. We have positions available for both day and night shifts. As an Equipment Operator, you will follow all safety regulations and guidelines, and be responsible for pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections, along with the daily upkeep of equipment and work areas.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machinery including frontend loader, forklift, bobcat, and skid steer.

    + Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

    + Conduct pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections.

    + Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.

    + Complete inspection reports prior to equipment use.

    + Safely load trucks, pile scrap material, and load/unload barges and rail cars.

    + Clean equipment regularly to maintain quality and functionality.

    + Commit to the overall safety of the work environment.

    + Sweep and shovel residual waste from the process.

    + Perform end-of-shift cleanup and equipment inspection.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in heavy equipment operation including dozer, backhoe, forklift, skid steer, loader, and frontend loader.

    + Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training.

    + High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

    + Valid driver's license.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.

    + Experience in construction and equipment operation.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes dirty but organized work areas, both outdoors and indoors, during day and night shifts. Conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
