    Job Title: Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, performing tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling. The role involves accepting and rejecting First Article Inspections, identifying non-conformances, and making necessary corrections to dimensions. This position requires strong experience with tolerances and proficiency in using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Additionally, you will be responsible for CNC set-up, troubleshooting, and monitoring tooling, particularly when working with stainless steel and aluminum.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC machines for drilling, turning, grinding, and milling tasks.

    + Perform First Article Inspections and make acceptance or rejection decisions.

    + Identify non-conformances and correct dimensions as needed.

    + Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

    + Conduct CNC set-up and troubleshooting.

    + Monitor tooling when working with stainless steel and aluminum.

    + Perform dimensional inspections using G-Codes and M-Codes.

    + Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor.

    + Train new employees and prepare work orders.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with mill and lathe operations.

    + Proficiency as a CNC Machinist with machining, turning, grinding, and milling skills.

    + Competency in CNC set-up and operation.

    + Knowledge of CNC lathes and machining processes.

    + Experience with First Article Inspection and troubleshooting CNC machines.

    + Ability to perform dimensional inspections and interpret G-Codes and M-Codes.

    + CNC Certification and familiarity with NTMA standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform supervisory duties when needed.

    + Experience in training new employees.

    + Capability to prepare work orders efficiently.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is clean and equipped with newer machines. We offer two shifts: the first shift runs from 5:15 AM to 1:45 PM, and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
