Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Iron Worker to join our team in building industrial facilities, structures, and warehouses. The role involves using structural steel and iron for framing and erecting, fitting and assembling structural frameworks with hand tools and welding equipment, and following blueprint specifications. The position requires tack welding parts and welding structural steel, and the ability to read project layouts and blueprints.

Responsibilities

+ Build industrial facilities, structures, and warehouses using structural steel and iron.

+ Fit and assemble structural frameworks using hand tools and welding equipment.

+ Follow blueprint specifications for construction projects.

+ Work around cranes, including using chokers, crane signals, and rigging.

+ Perform tack welding of parts and weld structural steel onsite.

Skills & Qualifications

+ +3 years of Iron Working or Construction Welding experience.

+ Experience in metal framing or rough carpentry.

+ Ability to read and work from blueprints.

+ Experience in industrial or commercial carpentry.

+ Proficiency in welding, particularly tack welding of structural steel.

+ Possession of OSHA 10 certification.

+ Experience in rigging.

Work Environment

Work takes place on industrial construction sites. The position involves working the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with 10-hour shifts and possible overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.
