    Job Title: Panning - Machine Operator -

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will play a crucial role in our production process. This manual position involves operating machinery to coat almonds and raisins with chocolate, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor approximately 12 machines used for coating almonds and raisins with chocolate.

    + Load mixers with almonds or raisins and move coated products across the room for a shiny finish.

    + Consistently lift and move boxes or bags weighing between 35 lbs to 50 lbs.

    + Ensure continuous machine operation and promptly address any issues.

    + Load completed products onto trays and stack them for cooling.

    + Open boxes of ingredients for upcoming batches and maintain a proactive work approach.

    + Clean and scrape machines to remove excess chocolate after each batch.

    + Assist with sanitation tasks as needed.

    + Perform accurate data entry and data collection for auditing purposes.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to consistently lift 35-50 lbs.

    + Proficiency in reading and writing to fill out production sheets.

    + Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    + Must be at least 5'5" to operate specific machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in production, machine operation, and general labor.

    + Familiarity with using an electric pallet jack.

    + Understanding of QA and QC processes.

    Work Environment

     

    The production facility is a clean, well-organized space with a pleasant aroma of chocolate and sweets. Temperatures vary by room: the Depo Room is room temperature, the Panning Room is slightly cooler than room temperature, and the Refining Room can get warm, especially in the summer. Enjoy a nice break room and both indoor and outdoor areas for relaxation.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
