             Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician Job Description We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Quality Control Team at a manufacturing facility. In this role, you will perform routine bacteriological and chemical testing of blended and spray-dried products. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all company and regulatory standards are met. You will also serve as a backup to the QA Lead and Manager during their absence. Responsibilities + Conduct routine bacteriological and chemical testing of products. + Collaborate with other departments to meet company and regulatory standards. + Serve as a backup to the QA Lead and Manager. + Maintain control of all original Quality documents. + Ensure the accuracy of Quality policies and procedures. + Test products for physical, chemical, and bacteriological properties. + Interpret and record testing results accurately. + Review production paperwork for accuracy and traceability. + Prepare product samples for customer and external laboratory testing. + Report issues to the QA Manager promptly. + Assist the QA Manager in food safety audits and SOP reviews. + Perform other document or lab-related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in quality control, inspection, and quality assurance. + Experience in food safety and food manufacturing. + Ability to write reports, policies, and procedure modules. + Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and statistics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to test products for physical, chemical, and bacteriological means. + Accurate interpretation and recording of testing results. + Experience in preparing product samples for customer and laboratory testing. Work Environment This is a night shift position from 6 pm to 6 am, following an initial training period of 6-8 weeks on a Monday to Friday schedule. The role occasionally requires travel for company business. The work environment includes exposure to non-weather-related wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and extreme temperatures. The noise level varies from moderate in the office to loud near production areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeville, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
