Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing company in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is crucial in managing and ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of revenue accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Ensure precise revenue recognition in line with established accounting standards and company policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to contracts and billing terms.

• Regularly update processes to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

• Reconcile revenue data with sales records, invoices, and bank transactions to maintain accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue-related transactions.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements with a focus on revenue data.

• Generate detailed revenue reports for management and stakeholders.

• Contribute to the development of revenue-related budgets and forecasts.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in revenue accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and support external audits as needed.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in revenue accounting or a similar role.

• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and best practices.

• Proficiency in financial and accounting software, including Sage 300, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Proven ability to perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger management.

• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
