Job Title: Assembler Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assembler Technician with at least one year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, well-developed organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform repetitious duties while standing or walking for extended periods.
Responsibilities
+ Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list to prepare work.
+ Assemble component parts to company specifications and customer expectations, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.
+ Assemble shocks, sub-assemblies, or hose assemblies according to approved drawings or visual aids.
+ Operate machines and use hand/power tools such as pneumatic press, torque wrench, and drill.
+ Operate a circular saw for cutting hose assemblies according to blueprint specifications.
+ Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly.
+ Recommend process or quality improvements.
+ Maintain a safe working environment by complying with safety policies and reporting hazards.
+ Perform visual and mechanical inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for defects.
+ Report quality issues to lead or supervisor.
+ Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed, maintaining work area in orderly condition.
+ Exhibit integrity and accountability in all activities.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly line.
+ Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written directions.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the full shift.
+ Basic knowledge of hand tools and machine operation.
+ Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
+ Proficient computer skills including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.
+ Understanding of basic math, including decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
+ Certificate from technical or vocational school desired.
+ Experience with hand tools, torque wrenches, bench grinders, drill press, and calipers.

Work Environment
The position operates within a mix of manufacturing and R&D environment focused on performance shocks. Employees work a 4-10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, with standard hours from 6am-4:30pm. There is potential for overtime on Fridays depending on workload. The job involves standing on feet all day and includes three breaks throughout the day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
