Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator
Job Description
As an Extrusion Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for breaking down, cleaning, and setting up all dies, and restarting extruders independently. You will operate complex extrusion lines with minimal assistance, ensuring efficient setup times and troubleshooting any downstream equipment issues.
Responsibilities
+ Minimize setup time for specific jobs.
+ Troubleshoot downstream equipment problems.
+ Produce parts from various materials.
+ Prepare lines for production effectively and efficiently.
+ Check line activity sheets, key dimension sheets, and read shop orders.
+ Produce parts that meet quality specifications at specified rates.
+ Maintain high accuracy and quality throughout part runs.
+ Train Operators 2 & 3 to develop speed and accuracy while ensuring safety.
+ Capable of managing two or more extrusion lines and working on complex parts with minimal assistance.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
+ Adhere strictly to company and plant safety policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of machine operating experience.
+ Experience in setting up machines.
+ Ability to operate extrusion and plastic machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in plastics, specifically extrusion, is a plus.
+ Programming knowledge is advantageous.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools like calipers.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with newly acquired machines. The site operates under strict safety policies and fosters a clean and orderly workspace. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Plaines, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
