Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Lead

Job Description

This position is responsible for leading the electrical activities within the Maintenance Department. You will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry.

Responsibilities

+ Identify and perform advanced electrical repairs on all plant equipment.

+ De-energize and re-energize circuits with a familiarity with the plant electrical distribution system (LOTO trained).

+ Train in NFPA 70E and have previous Arc Flash training.

+ Understand and maintain the plant fire alarm system.

+ Repair general lighting systems and replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.

+ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electromechanical equipment or electronic wiring.

+ Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position to complete circuits according to diagram specifications.

+ Requisition new electrical supplies and equipment.

+ Diagnose malfunctioning systems using hand tools and testing instruments.

+ Replace fuses, circuit breakers, and thermal overloads.

+ Troubleshoot and replace DC and AC motors and drive systems.

+ Replace and adjust limit switches, photo eyes, and light curtains.

+ Perform machine modifications and additions, updating electrical prints.

+ Understand and troubleshoot VFDs and safety circuits.

+ Update and change programs within the PLC of the equipment.

+ Build and test electrical enclosures to print.

+ Provide leadership, coaching, and technical expertise to the maintenance team for electrical activities.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards.

+ May perform mechanical maintenance in support of the maintenance team.

+ Communicate effectively with team members, machine operators, and other personnel.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair.

+ Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

+ Ability to read, understand, and utilize complex electrical schematics.

+ Proficiency in process logic controller (PLC) troubleshooting and programming.

+ Understanding of electric formulas and theories.

+ Experience with conduit installation, mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ NFPA 70E and Arc Flash training.

+ Basic understanding of plant fire alarm systems.

+ Experience with VFDs and safety circuits.

+ Ability to update/change PLC programs.

+ Experience in building and testing electrical enclosures.

+ Leadership and coaching abilities.

The work environment is clean, with temperatures being hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. The noise level is moderate, but it can become loud when all the equipment is running.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $69000.00/yr.
