Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials, in-process, and final products to ensure they meet specific standards and drawing requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
+ Interpret and review shop drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
+ Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools to perform detailed inspections.
+ Identify and document any defects or non-conformities, and work with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including reports on findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
+ Collaborate with the Quality Manager and production teams to develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
+ Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
+ Assist in training production staff on quality control standards and best practices.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years steel quality control background
+ 3+ years structural welding/steel fabrication (1 year required)
+ Experience with UT (ultrasonic testing)
+ Experience with Magnetic Particle Inspection
+ Proficient with blueprints
+ CWI certification is a plus but not required
+ Management of people is a big plus
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Bernalillo, New Mexico.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
