    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    This role focuses more on tracking parts and projects in the system rather than hands-on quality control inspections. Strong computer skills are essential for this position.

    Responsibilities

    + Verify routine product conformance to design requirements and provide objective evidence of results.

    + Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring activities.

    + Identify and document discrepancies, segregate and control nonconforming items.

    + Conduct preliminary review and disposition of non-conformances.

    + Engage in product review with customers during product or process verification.

    + Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate corrective action requests.

    + Inspect incoming parts/materials and outgoing orders to verify certification accuracy, check parts for processing, and manage special orders.

    + Utilize tools such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, and indicators daily.

    + Conduct dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels and perform visual inspections for obvious defects.

    + Review and disposition certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and company quality standards, and communicate with vendors as needed.

    + Review and approve First Articles from suppliers.

    + Identify and communicate opportunities to increase inspector productivity and assist with RCCA activities pertaining to inspection.

    + Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-4 years of experience with Excel and Microsoft Suite.

    + Basic experience in QA inspection methods and procedures.

    + Project job flow management.

    + Fluency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.

    + Ability to pass a documented color and near vision exam.

    + Experience in quality control using micrometers, calipers, and other dimensional measuring tools.

    + Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred experience with calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope.

    + Proficiency in PC skills and Microsoft Office products.

    + Previous aerospace experience is a plus.

    + Knowledge of AS9100 requirements is highly preferred.

    + Advanced GD&T skills, including optical comparator, layout, and vision scope systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is indoor and air-conditioned, maintaining a very clean facility. The day shift runs from either 6AM – 2:30PM or 7AM – 3:30PM, Monday to Friday, with availability needed to work as late as 4PM. Steel-toed shoes and pants are required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
