Job Title: Cabinet Maker
Job Description
As a Cabinet Maker, you will utilize your expertise in woodworking to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components. You will work from blueprints and drawings to meet established specifications, employing a variety of tools and machines to achieve precise results.
Responsibilities
+ Operate various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components and products.
+ Apply laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.
+ Operate woodworking machines such as routers, edge banders, jointers, table saws, and wall saws to cut, shape, and finish wood parts.
+ Participate in job setup and sequencing.
+ Correctly read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
+ Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock according to specifications.
+ Match materials for color, grain, or texture.
+ Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using a boring machine.
+ Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit.
+ Sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare them for finishing.
Work Environment
The work environment is a medium-sized job shop, specializing in manufacturing parts for tractor trailers and POP displays for stores. The role involves working from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be comfortable working around job shop machinery and maintaining safety standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
