Job Title:** **3rd Shift General Labor – Reclaim/Scrap Operator
**Location:** Chesapeake, VA
**Job Type:** Contract-to-Hire
**Shift:** 6:00 PM – 6:15 AM,

As a **Reclaim/Scrap Operator** , you’ll play a key role in supporting recycling operations and maintaining a safe, clean production environment. Key Responsibilities
+ Assist Machine Operators in recycling scrap aluminum and reclaiming materials.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Follow all safety and environmental protocols.
+ Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures and operate safely around moving equipment.
+ Clean machines and remove debris from burners and equipment.
+ Draw ATH for disposal and assist with machine maintenance.
+ Support team training and cross-training initiatives.
+ Operate pallet jacks and perform material handling tasks.
+ Maintain forklift certification (provided by Mitsubishi).
+ Wear required PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
+ Stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
+ Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to heat.
+ Climb ladders and stairs; use hand tools and light equipment with dexterity.
Qualifications
+ Previous experience in general labor, production, packaging, or material handling.
+ Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in various tasks.
+ Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
