    Job Title: Tint Technician

    Position Summary:

    The Tint Technician is responsible for accurately mixing, formulating, and matching coatings and tints for our customer base. This role ensures precise color formulation, maintains accurate records, and supports high-quality standards in a safe, organized tint lab environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret job orders to determine tinting procedures, formulas, and materials required.

    • Mix and formulate paint, stain, and/or lacquer coatings to meet specific color and quality requirements.

    • Inspect surfaces and materials to identify proper tinting methods and adjustments needed.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tint lab area, ensuring tools and equipment are in proper working order.

    • Keep accurate records of color formulas, batches, and adjustments within a color match record-keeping system.

    • Ensure consistency and quality control for all tinted products before release.

    • Communicate effectively with sales, production, and customer service teams to meet customer expectations.

    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience tinting paint, stain, and/or lacquer coatings required.

    • Strong color-matching skills and attention to detail.

    • Basic math aptitude and computer literacy (experience with color matching software a plus).

    • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Work Environment:

    • Tint lab and production setting

    • Requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed

    • Exposure to paints, solvents, and coatings — appropriate PPE provided

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
