    Shift: 1st - 7:00am-4:00pm - on rare occasions there may be on call periods

     

    Job Title: Shop Foreman

    Job Description:

    Lead and assign tasks to a team of mechanics, welders, and fabricators. Perform repairs on trucks and trailers, enforce safety protocols, and manage inventory and equipment maintenance.

    Responsibilities:

    + Monitor project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

    + Conduct quality control checks before trailers leave the shop.

    + Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.

    Essential Skills:

    + Ability to supervise and lead a maintenance team.

    + Strong experience with trailer and truck maintenance, including repairs and troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Strong overall mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in trailer repair, fabrication, or related heavy-equipment maintenance.

    + Leadership experience is essential.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with shop tools and diagnostic equipment.

    + Excellent organizational skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

    + Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and customers.

    + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. CDL A with Tank and hazmat preferred but not required.

    + Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and suspension components.

    + Familiarity with welding processes (MIG/TIG/Stick) and metal fabrication techniques.

    + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

    + Forklift or heavy-lifting equipment certification.

    + Basic computer skills for work order management and inventory tracking.

    Work Environment:

    You will work alongside the Maintenance Manager and 5-6 other technicians. The position follows a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4PM, with the possibility of being on-call as needed. The dress code requires industrial-type clothing.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
