    Job Title: Production Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to maintain and operate highly automated machinery used in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Experience with soldering is beneficial.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate automated electronics assembly equipment including selective solder machines, wave solder machines, solder fountain machines, and PCB depaneling machines.

    + Train others in the operation of automated electronics assembly equipment.

    + Set up, load, and perform necessary adjustments and maintenance of machinery, and train others to do the same.

    + Perform thorough inspection and verification of component placement prior to using machinery.

    + Read, understand, follow, and train others to adhere to all assembly documentation.

    + Ensure the production line is run in strict accordance with the correct revision of assembly documentation.

    + Identify and submit ways to improve processes.

    + Complete and maintain all required training and certifications, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.

    + Communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees, Shift Supervisors, and other departments.

    + Ensure the Production area is kept clean and organized according to 5S standards.

    + Comply with company core values and motto.

    + Assist in other areas and keep management informed of lack of work as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + High School diploma or equivalent GED.

    + Minimum Associates Degree or 3 months industry experience in skilled manufacturing assembly operator roles.

    + Understanding of electronic components, PCBs, and equipment terminologies such as polarity, SMT, ESD, component ID, and component type.

    + Efficient computer skills, especially with MS-Office suites like Word and Excel.

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    + Organized and detail-oriented.

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.

    + Ability to work any required shift, including weekends or night shifts, and overtime as needed.

    + Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities concurrently.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 4+ years of recent experience as an electronics assembly Machine Operator.

    + Background in IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies).

    + Working knowledge of J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).

    + Working knowledge of IPC 7711/ 7721 (Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies).

    + Basic understanding of wiring and harness components and equipment terminologies.

    + Blueprint reading skills.

    + Soldering and wiring skills.

    + Good hand dexterity skills.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a clean electronics manufacturing facility. Employees will have their own workstations to complete their portion of assemblies. A smock and shoe straps are required on the production floor. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00/hr.
