    Job Description

    The individual in this position contributes to the success of our company by keeping the equipment in the warehouse and production in continuous safe, effective operation, and maintaining the facilities including the physical plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic automated systems, including conveyors, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.

    + Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic issues with minimal supervision.

    + Plan, estimate, and execute maintenance and improvement projects in coordination with the Production Supervisor.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

    + Support installation and startup of new equipment and facility improvements.

    + Design and fabricate basic repairs and process improvements as needed.

    + Train team members in maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.

    + Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.

    + Promote a safe and compliant work environment by following and enforcing company safety and quality policies.

    + Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks; assist with operator training.

    + Collaborate with production teams to meet operational goals and adapt to changing priorities.

    Essential Skills

    + Relevant maintenance experience

    + High level mechanical aptitude

    + Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

    + Preventive maintenance scheduling

    + Forklift operation

    + Minor electrical and electronic ability

    + Ability to communicate with vendors and contractors

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Packaging industry

    + Fabrication skills

    + Commitment to a safe, high-quality work environment

    + Experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment and forklifts (certification required)

    + Strong mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of machinery and tools

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities

    + Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

    + Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, blueprints, and schematics (mechanical, electrical, and piping)

    + High school diploma or equivalent; 4–10 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
