    Job Title: CNC Machinist | Eldridge, IA | $25+/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team on the 3rd shift until the end of 2025. Our company specializes in precision-engineered, high-quality weapons, components, and modular weapon systems. With new international projects and contracts, we need experienced machinists to help us meet our goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and adjust CNC Mill and Lathe tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations.

    + Utilize provided programs and setups maintained by others.

    + Measure to .001 using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands.

    + Set up machines and tooling as needed.

    + Make adjustments to tool offsets to correct feature discrepancies.

    + Follow written instructions from Work Instruction Sheets.

    + Check parts for conformance using strong blueprint reading skills.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical devices.

    + Basic knowledge of machining processes including milling and lathes, both horizontal and vertical.

    + Competence in using precision measuring devices.

    + Ability to quickly learn and adapt to tool adjustments.

    + Understanding of cutting tools and the ability to judge when changes are needed.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CNC machines, willingness to learn M and G code programming.

    + Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

    + Broad knowledge of machining techniques.

    + Familiarity with CNC machinery such as Mazak, Brother, Okuma, and understanding of G-codes and M-codes.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility offers a very clean and updated environment, having moved to Eldridge within the last 15 years. While the workspace is well-lit, candidates may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level can be loud at times, but the atmosphere maintains a family-like feel.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
