Job Title: Tool and Die Maker - 1st shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tool & Die Maker for the 1st shift. You will be responsible for planning, laying out, and performing all bench and machine operations necessary to build, service, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures. This role involves working with a variety of equipment including surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, belt sanders, saws, hoists, clamps, measuring tools, and forklifts as needed. The environment is focused on stamping and roll forming with dies that can weigh up to 8,000 pounds.

Responsibilities

+ Plan and layout work for the construction and maintenance of tools, dies, and fixtures.

+ Perform bench and machine operations to build and repair tools and dies.

+ Operate and maintain machinery such as surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drill presses.

+ Ensure tools and dies are serviced and repaired efficiently to meet production needs.

+ Utilize measuring tools and equipment like forklifts when necessary.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker.

+ Proficiency in layout, building, servicing, and repairing tools, dies, and fixtures.

+ Experience with CNC Mill Machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Possession of a Journeyman Card is preferred.

+ Experience in roll forming is a plus.

+ Willingness to continue learning and improving skills.

Work Environment

The work environment can be loud in areas where stamping equipment is located. The facility is large, bright, clean, and well-organized, featuring a massive Maintenance and Tool & Die shop. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
