Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in New York, New York. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company expanding its operations significantly. The position provides high visibility and the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.

• Oversee general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and other team members to streamline accounting procedures.

• Utilize Restaurant 365 software to efficiently track and manage financial data.

• Support audit processes by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial controls to improve operational efficiency.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Assist with franchise accounting and reporting as the company expands its footprint.

• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives to support organizational growth. Requirements • At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or a comparable industry.

• Proficiency in Restaurant 365 software is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of general ledger activities and month-end close processes.

• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas such as IF statements and VLOOKUP.

• Background in audit practices is a significant advantage.

• Experience working in a start-up or small company environment is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills to interact effectively across teams.
