    This is a hybrid role and candidate must live within 50 miles from an AmeriGas location.

    Job Summary (Purpose):

    The Sales Support Manager (SSM) reports to the Sr. Director of Commercial Sales and Retention (SDCSR) and is responsible to lead our sales processes and provide strategic support to our sales team. The SSM will work closely with the Territory Sales Managers (TSM) to help in the process of closing commercial and industrial business. This role is critical in driving revenue growth by optimizing sales processes, managing key operational functions, and ensuring our sales organization has the tools and resources needed to succeed.

    Duties and Responsibilities :

    + Sales Operations & Process Management : Develop, implement, and continuously improve sales processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. Work with internal teams to manage CRM systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity across all sales activities. Collaborate with the business services and operations teams to find ways to improve transparency and reduce roadblocks in the customer set-up and tank delivery process.

    + Sales Documentation Management : Partner with the marketing team to create and maintain sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials. Maintain documentation of sales processes and training materials for systems and workflows.

    + Team Leadership & Development : Lead and mentor a team of sales support specialists and coordinators. Provide training and ongoing development opportunities for sales support staff. Collaborate closely with sales managers to identify team needs and performance improvement opportunities. Foster a collaborative environment between sales support and direct sales teams.

    + Analytics & Reporting : Generate regular sales reports and performance analytics for leadership review. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on sales trends and opportunities. Analyze sales data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Prepare forecasting reports and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

    + Customer & Vendor Relations : Serve as a liaison between sales teams and key customers for complex deals or escalated issues. Coordinate with TSMs, marketing, operations, and business services to ensure seamless customer experience. Manage relationships with key vendors and external partners supporting sales operations.

    + Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by manager.

    + Excellent communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills to achieve high level of customer satisfaction.

    + Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    + Ability to initiate collaboration efforts with peers and other departments to solve complex problems and anticipate requests and issues before they arise.

    + Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

    + Strong leadership qualities to guide the sales processes and collaborate effectively with teams.

    + Excellent skills to negotiate terms effectively and communicate complex contractual information to diverse stakeholders.

    Education Required:

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or related field.

    Experience Required:

    + 5+ years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or related role

    + 2+ years of management or team leadership experience

    + Proficiency with CRM platforms

    + Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting

    + Familiarity with the propane distribution industry (or similar industry) and associated business and legal risks.

    + Individual must have strong organizational and communication skills.

    + Advanced skill levels in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    The pay for this position ranges from $102,000.00 to $125,000.00 , depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.

     

    This is the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
