Your Impact at SAM
The IT Security Manager is responsible for the IT Security team and works with all other IT teams within the company. Operationally responsible for all aspects of IT security including servers, storage, network (voice/data), physical security systems, data center environmental controls, private cloud services and related cyber security controls. Position reports to the Director of IT.
+ IT Security Operations: Responsible for the configuration, monitoring, reporting and analysis, and troubleshooting of IT security systems and services
+ Security Event Response: Main technical escalation point in the event of a security event and coordinates response, tracking, isolation and post incident reporting
+ Technical Consultation: Architectural review of new systems or services, recommending controls and verifying implementation
+ Team Leadership: Coordinate and plan project team member tasks and efforts. Provides status reports and performance/skills assessment feedback of project team members to the Director of IT
+ Project Management: Provide leadership at the personnel and technical level to manage IT projects from conceptual, cost analysis, architecture, approval, implementation and post production support phases
+ Budgeting: Assist in preparing IT annual budget and tracking all CapEx and OpEx expenditures
+ Vendor Relationship Management: Involved in new service vendor selection process and contract negotiations
+ Auditing: Coordinates and conducts routine security audit tasks to ensure compliance with established IT standards, policies and configuration guidelines
+ Mentoring: Instruct and help develop less experienced system and network administrators and other technical staff where appropriate
What You Bring to SAM
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Technology or job experience related equivalence.
+ 10-15 years experience in managing IT infrastructure and people with demonstrated experience in maintaining cyber security systems.
+ Experience in the following technologies:
+ Active Directory security
+ Audit control programs
+ Badge and Camera security systems
+ Cloud security configuration
+ Cyber Insurance and Cyber Security Incident Response Plans
+ Cyber Security training for end users.
+ Device tracking and theft protection
+ EDR/MDR
+ Email and Web Filtering
+ Firewall rules and reporting
+ Mobile Device Management
+ MSSP
+ MFA solutions and configuration
+ Productivity and Data theft monitoring
+ Vulnerability Scanning
+ Successful as a project or technical lead in at least three large IT implementation projects
+ Large project is defined as over a $250k budget, over 500 devices affected or involving 5 or more people on the project team
+ Demonstrated team leadership skills across multiple technology platforms
+ Demonstrated ability to translate technology to business leadership
+ CISM preferred, CISSP required
+ ITIL foundations certification preferred
+ Any other IT Security certifications a plus
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical groups
+ Project management leadership experience
+ Professional with a “Customer Service” attitude
+ Motivated and results oriented with an ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environment
