Unity House of Troy, Inc. is seeking compassionate Victim Advocate to support survivors of domestic violence in our residential shelter. Ideal candidates are empathetic, dependable, and comfortable working second shift.
Shifts Available:
+ 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
+ 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
(Overtime opportunities available)
Responsibilities:
+ Provide trauma-informed, victim-centered support and case management
+ Assist clients with housing searches, safety planning, and life skills development
+ Answer hotlines and provide crisis intervention and referrals
+ Promote a culture of inclusion and respect
Qualifications:
+ 1+ year of experience working with domestic violence survivors or a similar population
+ Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Spanish-speaking a plus
