Music Therapist – A Child’s Place

About the Role
A Child’s Place is seeking a compassionate and creative Music Therapist who loves working with children and understands how powerful music can be in supporting development—especially for children with disabilities. If you’re passionate about using music to make a difference, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide music therapy services to preschool-aged children with disabilities.
+ Develop and implement age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s interests, abilities, and learning style.
+ Conduct individual and group sessions to promote growth, engagement, and emotional expression.
+ Deliver services both on-site and off-site in child care centers, preschools, and home settings.
+ Foster and promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and diversity in every interaction.
Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Music Therapy.
+ MT-BC (Music Therapy Board Certification) required.
+ Preferred: Two years of professional experience in the field.
+ Valid New York State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record as determined by our liability insurance policy.
+ Reliable transportation required.
+ Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
