    Job Title: Payroll Administrator

     

    Type: 6-Month Contract

     

    Pay: $25 to $30 an Hour

     

    Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly reliable and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our close-knit, family-owned electrical contracting business on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll independently, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing for our field and office staff. Experience with Sage 100 Contractor is highly preferred.

    Responsibilities

    + Accurately process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees, including timecard collection, data entry, and final submission.

    + Ensure payroll is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations; prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports as needed.

    + Administer employee deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.

    + Maintain accurate payroll records, employee files, and audit trails.

    + Handle union dues, fringe benefits, and certified payroll reporting (if applicable).

    + Utilize Sage 100 Contractor for payroll processing and reporting; troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows.

    + Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a construction or trades environment.

    + Proficiency in full-cycle payroll with minimal supervision or training required.

    + Experience with Sage 100 Contractor is strongly preferred.

    + Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.

    + Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.

    + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small business environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Knowledge of prevailing wage, certified payroll, and union payroll is a plus.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position requires working on-site Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in a supportive, family-owned business environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
