Overview:
As a Lead, Membership Engagement, you will take ownership of key initiatives that enhance the experience and value of our most engaged member segments. This role blends strategic thinking with strong executional rigor, focusing on campaign development, lifecycle marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead the planning and delivery of high-impact engagement programs that drive retention, loyalty, and revenue growth, while serving as a subject matter expert and project lead across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with internal and external partners and serve as a loyalty subject matter expert to help foster growth and drive cobrand credit card sales, including leading and supporting strategies needed to optimize engagement.
+ Proactively analyze member behavior, performance metrics and industry trends to identify actionable insights and drive growth within high-value and at-risk segments.
+ Develop creative briefs, test designs, and campaign forecasts; oversee the execution of personalized, cross-channel campaigns (e.g., print, email, site, push).
+ Own the new club offer and communication strategy, partnering with the New Club Success Team to drive digital engagement and impactful Grand Opening experiences.
+ Champion the implementation of innovative engagement tactics such as gamification, rewards optimization, and behavior-based messaging to foster loyalty
+ Lead the execution and optimization of lifecycle marketing initiatives, including onboarding, reactivation, and win-back campaigns.
+ Serve as a key liaison across Creative, Marketing, Data Science, Finance, Field Operations, and Product Teams to ensure campaign alignment and delivery.
+ Manage end-to-end project timelines, deliverables, and performance tracking, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
+ 5–7 years of experience in loyalty marketing, customer engagement, or campaign execution, preferably in retail, financial services, or subscription-based businesses.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
+ Advanced analytical skills with a track record of using data to inform campaign strategy and optimization.
+ Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and lifecycle campaign management tools.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and collaborate effectively across teams.
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $100,500.00 - $128,500.00
