Position Overview:
As a Vascular Sonographer, you will expertly perform a wide range of routine and advanced vascular ultrasound procedures, delivering high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate clinical decisions in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of vascular conditions. Your role requires independent judgment, advanced technical skill, and the ability to navigate complex diagnostic scenarios with precision and efficiency.
You’ll foster trust and cooperation with patients and their families through thorough assessments, attentive monitoring, and clear, compassionate communication. Collaborating closely with physicians and care teams, you’ll play a vital role in supporting vascular health and patient outcomes.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you may assist with specialized procedures and contribute to team development by orienting new staff. All work is performed in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to ensure patient safety, privacy, and the highest standards of care.

EDUCATION:
Other: Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Upon Hire
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
Must possess three of the following:
AB-Abdomen certification Upon Hire
BR-Breast certification Upon Hire
Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification Upon Hire
OB/GYN-Obstetrics & Gynecology Upon Hire
PS-Pediatric Sonography Upon Hire
RVT-Registered Vascular Technician Upon Hire
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Advanced knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including substantial experience responding to traumas, code blues, medical alerts, STAT calls, and various hospital emergencies.
Skilled in performing sonographic examinations with an extensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology so as to recognize, prioritize and communicate suspicious or abnormal results.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
Robust knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
Prioritize activities and work within defined policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines; help determine appropriate approach for new assignments.
Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Use experience and existing precedents or procedures to resolve atypical or infrequent problems; provide informal guidance and support to junior team members.
Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $80.71 to $100.88 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
