    The **M365 Core Platform** team is tasked with building products to identify opportunities and drive improvements in the latency, efficiency, and more of the M365 platform.

     

    As **Senior Product Manager** for M365 Efficiency, you will lead the strategy and execution for scaling compute resources that power advanced AI workloads. Your mission: deliver innovation at scale while optimizing cost and accelerating time-to-value for new features, experiments, and model deployments. You’ll be at the forefront of optimizing our AI workloads by designing efficiency-driven systems across hardware and software layers, partnering with engineering, finance, and infrastructure teams to ensure growth is precise, cost-aware, and performance-driven.

    This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week in Microsoft's offices in Redmond, WA.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and implement cost-aware planning frameworks for Microsoft 365 Core, experimentation, and AI workloads.

    + Develop and drive an efficiency roadmap spanning hardware choices, workload orchestration, and fleet operations.

    + Manage the full lifecycle of capacity planning and forecasting, including demand forecasting, supply planning, and alignment with finance and operations teams.

    + Advance Copilot by identifying costs and integrating insights into the efficiency roadmap.

    + Collaborate with infrastructure teams to improve control plane capabilities for faster experimentation, model selection, benchmarking, and production deployment.

    + Serve as a connector across core infrastructure teams, Copilot infrastructure, and Azure AI to ensure shared goals, and aligned execution.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years experience with cloud infrastructure, AI/ML platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.

    + 2+ years analytical and modeling skills; experience with forecasting, telemetry, and financial modeling.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

     

    + **Microsoft Cloud Background Check** : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).

    + 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).

    + 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).

    + Familiarity with hyperscale cloud environments (e.g., Azure), large-scale workload orchestration, and AI model deployment in enterprise platforms.

    + Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across technical and business teams.

     

    Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
