Our Health & Life Sciences (HLS) organization is an interdisciplinary team of product managers, designers, engineers, and clinicians who are designing, developing and deploying next-generation healthcare solutions powered by the Microsoft Cloud for healthcare organizations around the world.
The Business Analytics Sr. Manager-Healthcare role will sit on the newly formed Chief Operating Office (COO) team in the HLS organization, reporting to the Lead of Incubation and Intelligence. The COO team is tasked with preparing HLS for its next wave of growth and scale, delivering on operational excellence, financial integrity, and business intelligence. In this role, you will drive the Business Intelligence scope, synthesizing product, financial, commercial, and internal data to drive analytics and insights on the health and performance of the HLS business.
Success in this role will require 1) being able to interpret and handle various sources of data, 2) working with multiple teams of data engineers and analysts, 3) distilling insights, and 4) crafting compelling narratives for leadership. You will drive business intelligence across the portfolio and develop presentations, briefs, dashboards, and programs to leaders across HLS.

Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Intelligence
+ Develop the Intelligence program across the HLS business, bringing together various sources of product, financial, commercial, and internal data to provide clarity on business health and drive business outcomes
+ Proactively anticipate business questions and identify appropriate insights or plausible analytical solutions to suggest in response
+ Lead and guide analyses to solve complex business questions with metrics and frameworks to measure business, product, and/or operational outcomes
+ Recommend automation and AI-driven methods to improve speed and scale.
Collaboration & Program Management
+ Inspire others to recognize and understand the importance of data to business goals and engage others to constructively consider how data can be leveraged to improve business, people, and practices.
+ Carry out the process of planning, organizing, and managing tasks and resources to accomplish project deliverables in a timely and cost-effective manner
+ Build cross-team partnerships with data, engineering, and operations teams
Presentation & Storytelling
+ Craft executive-ready presentations by leveraging data, distilling insights, and providing recommendations
+ Translate complex datasets, processes, and information into clear, compelling narratives and insights for senior stakeholders.
+ Ensure outputs are accurate, relevant, and actionable for decision-makers

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field
+ AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, business and financial analysis, or consulting
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Ability to communicate at an executive level through visual, written, and verbal communication within a global context, technical and non‐technical.
+ Project management, leadership, and cross‐group collaboration skills. Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and execute.
+ You consistently deliver results and demonstrate good judgment, personal accountability, and high integrity.
+ You work independently and effectively as part of a broad team, and drive successful outcomes with virtual teams
+ Experience in and understanding of Microsoft Ways of Working.
+ 3+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry.
Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
