As a **Senior Finance Manager on Microsoft’s Consumer AI Margin - FP&A Team** , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy behind some of our most impactful businesses—Search, News, Ads, and Copilot. Your work ensures healthy margins, optimizes operational costs, and drives investment decisions that fuel innovation and growth. In this role, you’ll lead margin and investment analysis, support annual planning and forecasting, and provide strategic guidance during financial close periods. You’ll leverage advanced financial modeling, integrate diverse data sources into clear narratives, and collaborate across teams to manage risk and ensure compliance. By influencing structural efficiencies and long-term bets, you’ll help deliver sustainable value to customers and advance Microsoft’s AI-first vision—all within a collaborative, inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and bold ideas.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
+ Lead FP&A Processes: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A activities for all Online Operations costs. Ensure accurate financial views are crafted and loaded into systems such as Mercury, Alfred, BPC, and Mantis, with a focus on quality and timeliness of reporting to promote transparency in budgeting and forecasting.
+ Foster Collaboration and Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison between the team and central or partner finance groups. Proactively identify and address operational requirements, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across diverse, cross-functional teams.
+ Manage Vertical Business P&L: Provide clear reporting on product-level P&L for Bing, MSN, Copilot, Affiliates, and Bing API, enabling visibility into margin accountability for each product.
+ Develop and Implement Cost & Margin Strategies: Lead strategic initiatives for cost and margin management in non-capacity online operations, including royalties, content, Xandr, GroupMe, and other non-MCIO and non-MAI COGS. Analyze cost drivers and implement efficiency measures to optimize spending and enhance profitability.
+ Deliver Financial Insights and Accountability: Prepare and present close commentary, forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning (LRP) for key cost items. Offer actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support financial targets and long-term business growth.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years in FP&A planning and financial system proficiencies.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
+ Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ year(s) experience in data and financial modeling, with proficiency in financial systems
+ 1+ year(s) experience in stakeholder partnership, inclusive of influencing, buidling trust, collaborating and providing constructive challenges when needed
+ 2+ year(s) experience in working across multiple levels—from strategic, high-level initiatives to detailed Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis
