    •​Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data – structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.​

    •​The Fabric Customer Advisory Team is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead our migration strategy and accelerate adoption of Fabric Data Warehouse. In this role, you’ll act as a business owner, driving cross-team programs that enable customers to modernize their analytics platforms and unlock the full value of Fabric. You’ll orchestrate complex migration motions, track progress with precision, and surface insights on pipeline health, funding needs, and market momentum. Success in this role requires both strategic vision and operational rigor—balancing technical depth in the analytics industry with the ability to influence across teams.     Responsibilities

    + ​Own and drive migration strategy for Fabric Analytics, from concept to execution, with a focus on accelerating platform growth.

    + Lead cross-team program management, aligning engineering, product, and field teams to deliver seamless migration motions.

    + Track and manage execution rigorously, ensuring timely follow-up on activities and dependencies.

    + Analyze and report on business health, including pipeline status, funding requirements, and market momentum, to inform leadership decisions.

    + Engage deeply with customers, leading technical discussions to remove blockers and influence adoption.

    + Continuously identify opportunities to simplify migration paths and improve customer experience at scale.​

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    + ​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR equivalent experience.​

    + 4+ years of program management, product management, or technical delivery experience driving cross-functional initiatives in cloud, data, or analytics environments.

    Other Requirements

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

     

    + This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred/Additional Qualifications

    + ​​Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR equivalent experience.​

     

    Content Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
