    **Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E)** is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on Microsoft Cloud.

    **C+E’s Commerce Financial Platforms (CFP) team** is responsible for Financial Platforms, Global Payments Platform, Employee Financial Experiences, and C+E Compliance, and also develops and operates financial commerce platforms and tools that perform all revenue management functions for our customers, partners, and staff worldwide.

    As a Technical Program Manager, within our C+ E Compliance SOX Team, your impact will ensure Microsoft continues to meet its current compliance obligations, while elevating the value offered to Azure customers by delivering a compliant-by-design, flexible, scalable, and sustainable SOX environment that effectively supports Microsoft’s future compliance needs.

     

    The ideal candidate has a successful track record working with complex SOX Compliance projects and will be ready to build relationships and experiences across multiple groups or divisions that seamlessly integrate SOX compliance into engineering processes.     Responsibilities

    + Identify complex opportunities and gaps in the implementation of features that support Commerce + Ecosystems SOX compliance requirements. Solicit feedback from engineering and audit customers to understand their experiences with the SOX program’s products and services.

    + Independently perform complex research of stakeholder needs in collaboration with other teams, conduct analyses, and examine customer and technology-related industry trends, as well as industry-specific requirements or regulations. Integrate relevant data (e.g., usage, telemetry, service data) and tools (e.g., artificial intelligence, automation) to identify complex patterns and generate hypotheses for and facilitate building solutions. Leverage technical experience in the relevant compliance programs, solutions, services, or integrated systems and understand Microsoft and business value of proposed solution(s).

    + Partner with relevant teams (e.g., Engineering, Security, Audit) to design architecture and integrated customer solutions to complex technical needs for a SOX product or multiple compliance areas. Works with internal and external technical partners and/or architects to represent technical solutions to customers, including C+E engineering and audit. Propose and gain buy-in from partners on approach to design, solution, and architecture. Understand what options are available, partner with others to identify and select the best option for needs and create new solutions if needed. Collaborate with architects and technical partners to develop architecture.

    + Break down the SOX program into projects and ongoing operations. Collaborate with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules for a SOX product or multiple functional areas (e.g., product, service, systems), leveraging automation, artificial intelligence, and/or workflows where applicable. Work with others to establish and monitor processes and hold stakeholders accountable for following the established schedule and processes. Help track and manage dependencies to enable cohesive, connected user scenarios and to avoid issues and mitigate risks, escalating when necessary. Make adjustments or course corrections when projects are not aligned to schedules or goals.

    + Partner with contributing teams and stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Audit) to collect performance metrics, monitor and report on progress, and derive deep insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve development, iteration, and implementation of a SOX product or multiple functional areas. Leverage latest technologies, artificial intelligence and Generative AI, customer listening systems, telemetry, and/or engagements (e.g., interviews, surveys) to develop insights on SOX product and/or service performance and customer needs. From hypotheses to complex technical needs, perform experiments, and iterates to drive improvement in specific performance metrics, and share insights with partners and stakeholders. Contribute to the development of Program Management best practices and share them across the team.

    + Act as a technical advisor to educate and evangelize SOX products you work on with customers via meetings, presentations, and other forums. Lead direct customer (internal and/or external) engagements to solicit feedback and understand their experiences with the SOX products or multiple functional areas (e.g., product, program, services, systems).

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

    + 2+ years' experience influencing executive-level decision-making.

    + 2+ years of experience with implementation of SOX compliance and/or functional areas.

    Other Requirements

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

     

    + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering and/or program management with the design, development, and implementation of SOX compliance products and/or functional areas.

    + 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

    + 6+ years experience influencing executive-level decision-making.

    + 1+ years of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

    **Technical Program Management IC4** - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
