    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Accountant to join our team.

     

    This position involves using SAP to manage Accounts Receivable processes in line with generally accepted accounting principles, company policies, disclosure statements, and government regulations. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of basic accounting principles and be capable of effectively communicating AR-related accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The role requires excellent organizational abilities, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:

     

    + Process various financial transactions, including incoming cash receipts, lockbox payments, check deposits, AR refunds, write-offs, and intercompany cash transfers.

    + Maintain and reconcile GL cash accounts and prepare metric reports.

    + Support and analyze unidentified receipts, collaborating with banks and customers as needed.

    + Assist with inquiries during internal and external audits.

    + Manage incoming mail and web tickets.

    + Engage in projects and process improvement initiatives as necessary.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field with at least one year of relevant experience.

    + Strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and organizational skills.

    + High attention to detail and a strong accounting focus.

    + Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and work towards metrics.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with SAP.

    + Background in a financial services environment.

    + Comprehensive understanding of accounting and cash controls.

    + Experience with government contracting.

    + Familiarity with FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirements.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $53,100.00 - $79,700.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
