    Discover Impactful Work:

    Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. seeks a Senior UX Designer to develop outstanding digital experiences for Human Identification and CE.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    + Lead the end-to-end UX development process—from discovery and research to prototyping, testing, and final product delivery.

    + Work together with product managers, engineers, and collaborators to identify user requirements and build objectives.

    + Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform development decisions.

    + Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate development intent clearly.

    + Advocate for user-centered principles and accessibility guidelines.

    + Contribute to the development of UX build standards and systems.

    + Stay current with emerging build trends, tools, and technologies.

    Keys to Success:

    Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in Building, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field preferred (equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience may be considered).

    + 5+ years of experience in UX development, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.

    + Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UX and UI development work.

    + Proficiency in building and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).

    + Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

    + Experience working in agile development environments is a plus.

    + Experience in life sciences or forensics domain preferred.

    + Familiarity with UX metrics and data-driven development.

    + Experience crafting for mobile and responsive web applications.

    + Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial.

    + Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive building.

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $118,600.00–$177,850.00.

     

    This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
