    Sr. Manufacturing Technician

     

    **Location:** Fremont, CA

    **Pay:** Starting around $27/hr.

    **How will you make an impact?** The Sr. Manufacturing Technician performs assembly, wiring, alignments, and final configuration of components in an assembly. This position collaborates with colleagues towards common production goals via detailed manufacturing procedures. This position also participates in continuous process improvement activities and maintains the highest standards for workplace safety and quality.

     

    What will you do?

     

    + Conduct assembly work applying prescribed methods using a variety of hand tools, fixtures and test equipment

    + Collect test data, use databases and other office programs to detail the manufacturing process.

    + Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions

    + Assist in selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment

    + Perform a wide variety of solving problems to identify and resolve issues

    + Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance

    + Follow audit and safety guidelines

    + Train current and new employees

     

    How will you get here?

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience required

    + Background in precision mechanical assembly and low volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes preferred

    + Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus.

    + Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus

    + Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    + Proven track record in optimally working in a Team of 8-10 colleagues

    + Fluently speak, read, and write English

    + Have appropriate visual acuity and hand/eye coordination to assemble, manipulate, and test small, precision electronic and mechanical components.

    + Experience using optical microscopes for assembly and inspection of small components.

    + The ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.

    + Proficient with standard electronic assembly and testing equipment including, but not limited to soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, torque tools, etc.

    + Ability to support projects, perform training and work efficiently as part of cohesive teams

    + Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.61–$37.68.
