** *To be considered for this position you must complete the state application and attach all required documents through the Montana State Careers site at** **www.statecareers.mt.gov**.*** * * *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Business and Financial Services Division in Helena.* The Agency Procurement Manager (APM) works with the Department of Administration (DOA) to oversee the department’s procurement operations. This role involves cooperatively developing and implementing procurement policies, processes, and strategies that align with the goals of Public Health and Human Services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and internal and external communication. The APM will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with agency Division to optimize contracting policy, process, procedures, enhance overall operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with all state and federal statues, rules, and policies. Beyond core procurement, this position also actively collaborates with all DPHHS programs to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that all procurement of goods, supplies, and services is conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. Responsibilities include providing professional support and sound contractual advice to all stakeholders involving contractual services, consultants, equipment, supplies, construction, capital improvements, seeking guidance and direction from DOA when applicable, and other applicable activities. This position may be eligible for a statutory 2.5% an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
