    Holland America Line, Seabourn and Princess Cruises offer world-renown vacations at sea to travelers around the globe. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, unified organization as part of their highly experienced team in our corporate office.

     

    We’re looking for an amazing HR Project Specialist to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for supporting the Fleet Resource Support Team (FRST) and Fleet payroll teams by assisting in the coordination and execution of HR initiatives. You’ll track project progress, collect data and feedback, draft reports and documents, and support stabilization efforts across brands. You’ll report to and support the Senior Project Manager, Human Resources, and collaborate with shipboard and shoreside stakeholders (Shipboard Payroll, Fleet Compensation, Planning, Crew care, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and IT tool Support) to ensure readiness for any rollout.

     

    In the coming year, it will focus on preparing for and participating in the launch of a large HR project (MISTRAL). Acting as a SME for the FRST team, the Project Specialist will learn the proper use of the system as it pertains to FRST tasks and duties, supporting its testing and preparing the change management for FRST and Fleet Payroll and additional ones if required.

    Responsibilities

    + **Project Coordination and Task Management**

     

    The Project Specialist plays a key role in supporting the execution of HR Shared Services initiatives across HAL, SBN, HAP, and PCL. This includes maintaining project task trackers, updating status and content, and ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables. The role requires close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager to align on priorities and timelines. Weekly updates for leadership are drafted to reflect progress, risks, and next steps. The Associate PM will also assist in documenting lessons learned and stabilization efforts for each brand. Attention to detail and consistency in reporting are essential to ensure transparency and accountability. This area is foundational to the role and supports the broader success of HR programs.

     

    + **General Project Support and Cross-Functional Collaboration**

     

    The Project Specialist will provide support on additional HR Shared Services projects as assigned. This may include coordination tasks, meeting preparation, and documentation support across various initiatives. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as IT, Legal, and Supply Chain may be needed depending on project scope. The position will help ensure that project activities are well-organized and that communication flows effectively. This area reflects the dynamic nature of the role and the importance of being a reliable team contributor. It also offers opportunities for learning and growth across disciplines.

     

    + **Stakeholder Engagement and Data Collection**

    A core responsibility of this role is to interact with shipboard and shoreside stakeholders to collect data and feedback. These interactions may occur via email, Teams, or calls, and require professionalism and clarity. The role supports the HR team by ensuring stakeholder voices are heard and incorporated into project planning. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations are key. This work directly contributes to the success of global HR implementations.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with at least 2 years of increasing responsibility in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field.

    + Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to support project tracking, reporting, and presentation development. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and follow-through.

    + Comfortable using digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Ability to build and maintain key relationships.

    + Experience supporting project coordination or administrative functions in a professional setting, including familiarity with task tracking and reporting tools.

    + Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and synthesize data from multiple sources. Ability to analyze data gathered from diagnostic tools and HR metrics; Ability to develop practical solutions to address complex challenges; strong problem-solving skills;

    + Experience interacting with diverse stakeholders, including global or cross-functional teams.

    + Ability to support documentation efforts such as drafting reports, updating trackers, and preparing meeting summaries.

    + Familiarity with training or change management processes, particularly in support roles.

    + Base Hourly Range: $22.84 to $30.82. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
