Overview:Supervise all aspects of daily Finance department activity, including but not limited to: Administering and performing all aspects of Accounts Payable processing. Extensive review, correcting and posting to general ledger Accounts Payable data entry, Purchase Order creation & modification as needed. Manual & Petty cash account owner & authorized signer. Oversee all aspects of daily Finance department operations.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

+ Supervise AP staff’s daily responsibilities. Assist as necessary with data entry, vendor inquiries, resolving problems.

+ Assist Plant Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, and Corporate Accounts Payable Supervisor as appropriate with reporting and administrative support.

+ Supervise the review of outstanding unmatched payables documentation and supplier statements.

+ Communicate with Corporate Office all items requiring special attention.

+ Resolve open items as needed.

+ Maintain relationships with internal employees and suppliers providing timely feedback on inquiries.

+ Accumulate statistics on keying, coding, and discounts for management’s review.

+ Oversee and assist with monthly close. Monitor the filing of documents and auditing as needed.

+ Annual organized boxing of AP files and destruction of those records which have reached their maximum required storage.

+ Assist with business office responsibilities as needed to support Plant Manager and Human Resource team.

+ Oversee Haberdashery responsibilities and provide guidance on building future inventory.

Qualifications:

+ A.S. Degree in Business Management or related field or commensurate job related experience.

+ 5-7 years experience in computerized accounting environment.

+ Minimum 3 years supervisory experience, preferably as office or department manager.
