CRC1 For Robin Sequence (RS) Projects

The CRC hired for this role will work with the Robin Sequence Research Team at Seattle Children’s. Dr. Kelly Evans (Craniofacial Pediatrician and Researcher) is the PI for this work. The primary aim of our research projects is to improve short and long term outcomes for children born with Robin sequence (a triad of micrognathia, glossoptosis and upper airway obstruction). Our multidisciplinary research team includes clinicians and researchers from pediatrics, otolaryngology, orthodontics, sleep, imaging and engineering. Current projects focus on understanding the variable phenotype and clinical presentation with Robin sequence, as well as new participation in an international collaborative Robin sequence registry. The CRC hired will ideally have experience organizing interdisciplinary research meetings, coordinating data collection for our Seattle site, skills to build and maintain a REDcap database; background clinical knowledge about craniofacial conditions including Robin sequences helpful, particularly as it relates to efficient clinical and imaging data entry. The CRC hired will also ideally have experience with manuscript formatting, citation manager and submission.

Position details:

+ 1 year

+ Estimated up to 8 hours/week on average, but will change week to week

+ Flexible availability is desired

+ Some international virtual meetings occur between 6-8am pacific time.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience in research or a related field/setting.

Confirmed proficiency in a second language via successful completion of a language assessment may be required for certain departments.

Required Credentials

Current Drivers license for the state of Washington

Preferred

Pediatric research experience.

Compensation Range

$29.16 - $43.73 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
