We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join a school community that values inclusion, teamwork, and student-centered learning. In this role, you will work under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator to provide high-quality services to students in a 5th grade resource setting.
You’ll play a key role in developing and implementing individualized programs that include specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Caseload: 5th Grade Resource Classroom
Dates: December 1 – May 29
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide targeted instruction based on student IEPs
+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
+ Participate in IEP development and implementation
+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid Illinois teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ Illinois State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following areas (preferred):
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Learning Behavior Specialist/LBS1 Endorsement (required)
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
