    School Social Worker – School-Based

     

    + Location: Rockford, IL

    + Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

    + Grade Level: Flexible based on preference

    + Start Date: Flexible based on availability

    + Travel opportunities available for those residing 50+ miles away.

     

    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join a student-centered team in Rockford, IL. This full-time, in-person role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development in a collaborative school environment.

     

    Role Overview

     

    The School Social Worker will provide direct services to students, contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Health Plans (IHPs), and work closely with educators and support staff to ensure students receive the interventions and resources they need to thrive.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Deliver social work services to students in accordance with IEP/IHP goals

    + Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans

    + Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

    + Connect students and families with community resources

    + Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with professional standards

    Minimum Requirements

    + Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement (required)

    + MSW or LCSW may be required depending on state or facility guidelines

    + Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
