    Special Education Teacher | $45/hr | Elementary SEL Program | Raytown, MO | ASAP–May 22, 2026

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support an elementary self-contained SEL program in the Raytown, MO area. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through May 22, 2026.

    Position Overview

    + Role: Special Education Teacher

    + Grade Level: Elementary

    + Classroom Type: Self-contained SEL program

    + Support Staff: Group support (paras, behavior techs, nurses)

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, availability required between 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

    + Hours: 40/week

    + Start Date: ASAP (Estimated: 11/3/2025)

    + End Date: May 22, 2026

    + Location: Raytown, MO

    + Interview Format: In-person or virtual

    + Campus Assignment: To be determined

    Compensation

    + Pay Rate: $45/hour

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and deliver group and individual instruction aligned with curriculum and IEP service minutes

    + Create student schedules and manage classroom behavior using PBIS and district guidelines

    + Collaborate with team members, administrators, and families

    + Facilitate IEP and evaluation meetings

    + Supervise instructional assistants and lead weekly team meetings

    + Administer district and state assessments

    + Maintain compliance with special education standards and timelines

    + Complete required documentation and data collection

    + Attend professional learning and building meetings

    + Perform other duties as assigned to support school operations

    Qualifications

    + Active Missouri Teaching License in Special Education

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred

    + Certifications: Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Must meet MO DESE requirements

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
